On June 7th, a demo day of temporary pipe closing devices of the Czech company FASTRA was held in the yard of the Scanweld factory in Jõelähtme. All market participants came: contractors, designers and grid owners. After a thorough presentation of the technology, demonstration work was also done in terms of both Line Stopping and Hot Tapping technology. Fastra closing devices are suitable for a wide variety of environments. Mainly used to seal gas and district heating pipes. It is not always possible to empty the pipeline and there is a need for such temporary closures. Through the closing device, it is possible to make bypasses so as not to interrupt the media flow. Fastra products are leak-proof up to a pressure of 40 bar and 130 C. They are also certified for Hydrogen. Fastra has more than 30 years of experience, mainly in the Czech Republic and Eastern Europe.
