Combined Heat & Power

The idea of CHP is to capture the heat that would normally be wasted in electricity generation and supply it to local buildings

While a conventional power plant generates electricity and wastes the heat it makes as a by-product, a CHP power plant generates both electricity and hot water and supplies them onwards to consumers.

Cogeneration (the alternative name for CHP) simply means that the electricity and heat are generated at the same time. Scanweld has participated as a reliable contractor in many new CHP projects over the past 15 years. Most of the works related to the installation of high and low pressure piping, including main steam piping, all kinds of equipment installation and boiler erection.
